Harness CCM GCP cost anomaly

Problem Statement

In the Harness CCM the GCP perspectives shows for a month total cost of $90k (example) But in the GCP portal my monthly cost substantially is much lower around $45k.

Solution

The cost anomaly can be due to various reasons, covering here the possible reasons which could be the cause of the issue :

  • Check in the report if it includes the discounts, because in a GCP perspective we do not include
    sustained and committed usage discounts.

  • Check you have a GCP connector present in Harness First Gen. You can simply delete/remove the
    connector from First Gen platform.
