Problem Statement
We’ve included ce:GetRightsizingRecommendation permission to the HarnessEventsMonitoringPolicy.
We don’t see where to view ec2 recommendations, please respond asap.
Solution
First thing to check is to verify if the recommendation were enabled correctly, for this
Open AWS CloudShell and run the following command:
aws ce get-rightsizing-recommendation --service AmazonEC2
Once this is confirmed and the required permission (ce:GetRightsizingRecommendation) is added it takes around 24Hrs in order to generate your rightsizing recommendations.
On the recommendation page, you will be able to see once the recommendations are available
Filter > Resource Type > EC2
